An elegant, minimalist but organic small sculpture, creamy white high fired porcelain with varnish accents. The dorsal surface has a beautiful subtle crazing that emerged with firing. Echinoderms are an amazing phylum of marine creatures with some very alien characteristics - radial symmetry (sometimes lost secondarily), a water vascular system, and the ability to reproduce asexually and regrow lost body parts… they are highly abundant and successful. The name means ‘spiny skin’. One of a kind. 20cm long, 7cm wide, 5cm high.
