The second of the pair of ‘Black Opal’ glaze fantasy anemones, this one is a lighter version with more matt charcoal greys and light blue opaline veins and less glossy black and green than its sibling, even prettier I think and best seen with some sunlight as well. Also unfortunately so far an unrepeatable glaze layering effect so unique. It is taller and globelike, does not have the dark deep pooling of glassy glaze around the tentacles, and lacks any sucker arms… 16cm front to back, 15cm wide and 15cm high, 1.9kg of recycled clay so pretty heavy.
